November: A Month of Revival, Testimony, and Unshakable Faith

November was a month we will never forget here at Living Church of Five Mile. It was a month marked by God’s power, His faithfulness, and His undeniable presence moving through our people and our community. From revival to testimonies, from honoring our veterans to walking through tragedy with steadfast faith, November reminded us again and again: God is not done yet.

🔥💧 A Week of Revival & New Life in Christ We opened the month with a powerful week-long revival led by Evangelist Orvel Hisel. Night after night, the altars were full and hearts were changed. By the end of the week, 30 people accepted Jesus as their Savior and 7 chose to be baptized—a harvest only God could bring. The atmosphere was electric with expectation, and it set the tone for the rest of the month.

🎖️🪖Honoring Our Veterans During November, we also took time to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Representatives from the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force stood among us, and we were reminded of the tremendous sacrifices they make to secure the freedoms we enjoy. We can never say “thank you” enough.

🎥💬Testimonies of God’s Goodness Across Our Church Throughout the month, our Media Minister, Sister Kayla Purdin, shared video testimonies highlighting God’s goodness and faithfulness. These stories encouraged our church and reminded us that God is moving in big and small ways every single day.

💙✝️ Faith in the Midst of Tragedy: The Testimony of Brother Jon Pike Mid-November brought a heartbreaking and unexpected event. Our dear brother and friend, Jon Pike, who has the biggest heart, and a contagious passion for Jesus, suffered a tragic fall from a second story, resulting in a snapped spinal cord. Doctors predict permanent paralysis from the waist down—but we serve a God who has the final say.

What has inspired us most is Jon’s unwavering faith. From the very first moment in the hospital, he was witnessing to nurses, praising God, and sharing the gospel. His passion for Jesus hasn’t wavered—if anything, it has burned brighter.

Jon has since been moved to rehab, and even there he continues leading souls to Christ. We are praying and believing wholeheartedly that Jon will walk again and that this valley will turn into a testimony that shakes our region. Please continue to lift Jon and his wife Christie in prayer.

And in God’s perfect timing—before Jon’s fall, he witnessed his own brother give his life to Jesus and be baptized. God is already writing a powerful story through Jon’s life.

⬆️🔥 A Generation Rising Our youth continue to shine and serve with passion. Whether it’s drama, singing on the praise team, Sunday school, or children’s church, our young people are stepping up with boldness. Their fire is contagious, and they are truly helping set Five Mile ablaze for the Lord.

✝️📖 A Word for All of Us: “God Is Not Done With You Yet.” Rev. Taylor Jimenez shared a message birthed from her visit with Brother Jon. Her sermon reminded us that no matter your age, your past, your weariness, or your battles—God is still working. If you have breath in your lungs, God still has a plan for your life. He is not finished.

🎄🎶Closing the Month With a Joyful Celebration We ended November with a special visit from Jimmy Dooley, who stopped by during his Christmas tour. A Goshen boy making a big impact for Jesus, Jimmy brought joy, worship, and a heartfelt reminder we all need daily: “Lord, use me today to be the hope of Jesus. Use me today to be the light of Jesus to others.” What a beautiful prayer to carry into every season.

As we step into December, we carry gratitude for all God has done and faith for what He has yet to do. November showed us revival, resilience, unity, and the unstoppable goodness of God at work in His people. He’s not done at Five Mile—and He’s not done with you.
