September: A Month of Revival and Renewal 🔥

September flashed by in a blur of blessings here at Living Church of Five Mile — a month overflowing with testimonies, transformation, and the unmistakable move of God. 🙌

🎉 Celebrating Generations and Salvation

We kicked off the month celebrating Grandparents’ Day with Donuts with a Grown-Up! From age 1 to 82, everyone enjoyed their fill of sweet treats and sweeter fellowship. But the real joy came when Brother Dave, at 82 years old, stood up to share that he had given his heart to the Lord! Though he’s battling dementia, God is doing a powerful work in his life. His daughter and son-in-law, Doug and Theresa Waldron, have been faithfully completing the 90-Day Bible Reading Challenge, and the more Brother Dave heard the Word, the more he was drawn to the glory. We’re still shouting the victory! 🙏🍩

🌍 Missions, Ministry, and Momentum

We were blessed by Sister Heather Meyer and Sofia Cason, who shared about their mission trip to Malawi. Their stories of faith, miracles, and hope reminded us that God is moving powerfully across the world — and right here at home.

We also celebrated Back to Church Sunday with a full house! The service was followed by an engaging Ministry Fair, where each department showcased how to get involved and help build God’s Kingdom. It was inspiring to see so many ready to take their next step in serving. 💒🤝

📖 A Month of Anointed Messages

The Word from the pulpit came in strong this month, delivered by Pastor Don, Rev. Orvil Hisel, Sister Maelyn Gregory, Rev. Jeremiah Purdin, Sister Wendy Purdin, and Associate Pastor Danny Hutchens.Pastor Don also took time to recognize our two newest ordained ministers through the CGMA: Rev. Jeremiah Purdin and Rev. Sam Byrd. We are thrilled to see what God has in store for these young men and their ministries. 🔥🙌

🛠️ Serving, Sowing, and Seeing Souls Saved

September also hosted our annual Fall Yard Sale, now led by Brother John and Sister Kris Pike. They have stepped up to lead while Sisters Shirley Dixon and Clarice step into a much-deserved semi-retirement. What makes this moment so special is Brother John’s testimony — it was through the yard sale that he was introduced to our church, found salvation, and is now on fire for Jesus! What a beautiful full-circle moment and a true testimony of God’s faithfulness. ❤️🕊️

🙏 A Church Alive with Prayer and Power

Between the 90-Day Bible Reading Challenge and our Friday Night Prayer Meetings (lovingly referred to by Rev. Taylor as “Date Night with Jesus”), we’ve seen a mighty wave of revival. Souls are being saved, people are being delivered and healed, and a unifying spirit is sweeping through the church. The testimonies just from this month alone could fill a book! 📖🔥

We’re also celebrating two more baptisms — congratulations to Sister Emily Profitt and Sister Sandy Day on taking this powerful step of faith. 🌊💧

💒 Growth and Glory

Even our church building saw a bit of renewal, with new doors installed in the foyer giving a fresh look to the entryway. And our youth continue to lead the way — each Sunday, Pastor Don is met with eager little ones asking to sing praises to the Lord. It’s enough to melt your heart and make heaven rejoice! 🎶💖

🔥 Revival is Here

Words can’t fully express the move of the Spirit we are witnessing right here in Ohio. Our prayer is that this same fire spreads across every CGMA church and beyond.

Until next time — keep fanning those flames and pouring on the fuel. Revival is here! 🔥🔥
